Locations you will visit

• Plaza de Armas and Cathedral: are at the centre of the historical city of Cuzco; here you will find the Cathedral which has a lot of recognisable art from the ‘Cuzco School’ of Arts In particular a highly unique painting of The Last Supper depicting a guinea pig being roasted!
• Qorikancha Temple of the Sun: was the most important of all temples within the Inca Empire; its walls were originally gold plated all around but today contain an incredible mixture of stonework from the Inca Empire along with Spanish colonial buildings
• Sacsayhuaman: A large ceremonial fortress constructed of giant stone blocks (some weighing more than 300 tons) which has puzzled historians as to how they were put together so perfectly.
• Qenqo: is a limestone area with articulate tunnels cut through the rock and also an underground altar where many rituals and sacrifices took place.
• Puka Pukara: known as the "Red Fortress’" because the stones turn red at sunset, Puka Pukara was a military and administrative checkpoint for all travellers entering Cuzco;
• Tambomachay: called The Baths of the Incas, intended for the worship of water through the use of aqueducts and waterfalls.
• Cristo Blanco: is a large white statue of Christ that stands on the top of the hill overlooking Cuzco, this will provide visitors with the best vantage point view of the whole Cuzco valley.
